Dead, But Not For Long is a character rich novel of survivors teaming up to make a way forward in an apocalyptic world of the undead. Some readers will be disappointed that more of the “forward” is not there, but the tale has all the pieces we love to see in this genre: an almost doomed, therefore, ultimate fight against the odds, characters to love and hate, losses that make us cringe, the hope for a cure, and plenty of inventive violence.
Another plus for this particular work is that the author is able to capture the gruesome nature of the genre without going over board on gore (at least in my opinion).
I recommend this zombie adventure to readers who like character-driven plots with tons of action and hold-your-breath near misses.
