Released from school orientation early, we cruised for a bakery and/or fritterie such as we remembered from our years in Belgium. The GPS lead us to two closed “bakkerij” along a route dotted most often with Hair Salons.
Eventually, adjacent to not the Aldi but the C1000, we found a nice bakery with apple turnover, huge croissant, choco pain, pecan pastry, and meat stuffed pie (x2). They had other items, of course, but these were the ones I selected for 10,30 euro. Then two double portions of fries with curry ketchup and mayo from the “Snack Bar” (8 euro), and we were off for our high carb luncheon at home.
It sounds like a lot…till you split it six ways.
